According to GB16889-1997 "Pollution Control Standards for Domestic Waste Landfills", the permeability coefficient of the anti-seepage layer of domestic waste landfills is K≤10-7cm/s, but it is difficult to find a site with a permeability coefficient K≤10-7 For natural geological structures, it is necessary to set up artificial anti-seepage layer to ensure its anti-seepage requirements. 1. The structure of long fiber non-woven fabric --- 2.0mm dpe film -- long fiber non-woven fabric is used in clay layer and rock layer, which has good anti-seepage function; the other is 5.5mm bentonite waterproof blanket (GCL) -2.0 mm HDPE membrane-long fiber non-woven fabric, bentonite waterproof blanket is mainly used for geological structures with poor anti-seepage function. The anti-seepage effect of the former is far inferior to that of the latter, but the cost is lower. At present, many developed countries in the world, such as the United States, South Korea, Germany and other countries, use bentonite waterproof blanket as their first choice.

In particular, the combined advantages of bentonite waterproof blanket and HDPE film can effectively ensure the anti-seepage effect and durability of the anti-seepage function of the landfill. Therefore, some countries have also clearly stipulated that the anti-seepage layer of the landfill should use bentonite waterproof blanket. In our country, the application of bentonite waterproof materials in landfills is an operation in recent years, but it is widely used because of its excellent waterproof and anti-seepage performance.
